Landscape photography is in my blood. No matter where I travel or what I’m shooting, I’m always watching the landscape for photo opportunities. But I have a special love for the mountains and deserts of the American West so western landscape photography is closest to my heart. And Utah, where I make my home, is one of the most dramatic and beautiful parts of the United States. There’s no shortage of landscape photo subjects within easy driving distance. Between the Wasatch Mountains, the Great Salt Lake, the Salt Flats, Nevada’s Basin and Range Country, and Southern Utah’s redrock desert, there’s more than enough to keep me and my camera busy. That’s especially true when you consider the different seasons. I shoot alpine wildflowers in the summer, yellow aspens and red maples in the fall, and snowy mountain peaks in the winter. It never ends.
