Proview GoPro Mount iPhone Case

The Proview mobile phone case allows you to mount your GoPro right on your iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S5 mobile phone.

I recently stumbled across this very cool Smart Phone POV video accessory – a GoPro mount iPhone case. The Proview GoPro is a phone case with a built-in GoPro mount. It lets you use your iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S5 as a both a GoPro grip and attached live view display, effectively turning your phone into a convenient mini video rig. I really could have used one a few days ago when I was struggling to balance my phone on the selfie stick I was using to record some video in a bike shop. Putting a GoPro mount right on a phone is one of those ideas that’s so simple and obvious it makes your mouth drop open when you see it. “D’oh! Why didn’t I think of that!!?”

Because you probably don’t always want a GoPro mount sticking out of the top of your phone, a mount-free top section of the case is included with the Proview. I haven’t actually used the Proview so I can’t speak to the quality or usability. The reviews on Amazon are a bit mixed but mostly positive. It does appear to be a pretty dead-simple, foolproof design, though. I will probably buy one and if I do, I’ll be sure to add a follow-up to this article to let you know what I think.

PolarPro also makes filters for GoPro cameras and the PowerPole, a selfie stick with an integrated rechargeable battery that allows you to use your GoPro for up to 10 hours without changing batteries. The Proview GoPro case is available for the iPhone 5, 5s, 6, and the Samsung Galaxy S5.
